Meshugata Racing in Association with the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club hosted the Geddes Refrigeration/Team Mack Attack 2008 JMMC National Dexterity Championship Series meet #2 held at the Palisadoes Raceway in Kingston on June 22, 2008. Though off to a late start the event was well executed and saw 26 competitors. Of which 21 of these in the FWD Class all going for the win.
The event was won by Maurice Whittingham in FWD class in a time of 00:59.01 to place fastest overall in the 3 run category with Christopher McFarlane also in FWD 1:01.68 placing second. However, Christopher McFarlane turned the tables on him in the Championship run to win in a time of 2:02.04 to Maurice second place finish of 2:02.09.
Dexterity#1 first place winner in FWD Kenrick Campbell had to settle for 3rd place this time around. In RWD the honors went to Garth Chin in his 190E Benz followed by Omar Munroe 2nd in a Toyota Altezza with Andrew Moss rounding out the class in third place. There was only one RWD-LSD competitor Ricky Vaz in a Toyota Starlet who entertained the crowd with his slideways actions and having a grand time at the event. In class 4WD sole competitor Leroy “Ice” Spence finished with a fastest time of 1:09.09.
There were 4 female competitors all in FWD class with Tanee Green of Meshugata Racing taking top honors in the regular 3 run category, Michelle Laidlaw of Jamspeed Racing placing second and Michelle Delfosse of Team Mack Attack placing 3rd. Gail Grimes of EGR Racing placed 4th. However in the Championship Run Michelle Laidlaw turned the tables on Tanee Green to beat her in a time of 2:15.88 to Green’s 2:19.66.
Lunch time entertainment was provided by new artist Pahrebel from Dimon Cut Productions out of Mandeville.
