SEABOARD MARINE CARIBBEAN MOTOR RACING CHAMPIONSHIP – One big invasion is coming…

Cars from Guyana, Barbados and Suriname are scheduled to be at Dover on May 20-22, to join the cars from the Cayman Islands which are already here.

Jamaica has named a strong Group 4 team comprised of the following:

David Summerbell (reigning CMRC Driver’s Champion – Just in case anyone forgot)
Peter Rae (Reigning CMRC Team Champion member of 2012)
Andre Anderson (Reigning CMRC Team Champion member of 2012)
George Bailey (has run Home and Abroad for Jamaica)
Douglas Gore
Christopher Campbell

The club has also been hard at work improving the 24 year old facility and has built a drive-on-drive-off weigh station right at the entrance to the paddock for quick post-race weighing.

For the Spectators (and drivers) the wall surrounding corner 6 (Cariburst Hairpin) jas been removed and replaced by a curb. Spectators can now see right around the corner from any seat in the house and drivers can now attack the corner without fear of hitting the wall.

This should lead to faster lap times!

The parking lot exit points are being addressed to improve the flow SIGNIFICANTLY after the event. The aim is to get the exit time for the last patron to less than 40 minutes following the end of the last race.

The Shell Helix Labour Day Invasion on May 26th, featuring the long awaited Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (Round 1) with 20 overseas competitors is now even easier to attend…

Presold tickets are now available online via www.touchtix.net at the rates listed in the table below:

Please be advised that there will be a Drivers meeting at the Liguanea Club  on May 21, 2013 at 6:00 pm.
