Surrounded by fans, 21-year-old Gordon Brandon is seen in his Daimler SP 250 after driving to victory in the 50-lap 110-mile Jamaica Grand Prix at Vernam Field on Jamaica’s actual Independence Day, August 6, 1962. Brandon led the race from start to finish.
