Jamaican Senna Summerbell showed continuous lap time improvement in each session driving his Rotax Thunder E-Kart on the first day of the FIA Americas E-Karting Cup in Conde, Brazil.
His 8th quickest Practice time of 58.353 was a distant memory when he improved to 57.293 in Qualifying to claim 3rd on the Pre-Final grid.
His second-row start in the Pre-Final was compromised when he had to swerve off track in order to avoid being hit in Corner 3 of the very first lap, dropping him to 6th place. He was able to recover to 5th before the end of the short 6-lap race; he will start on the third row in today’s Final.
In this morning’s Warm-up Senna again showed lap-time improvement, posting 56.932 for 4th in the session. Senna’s final will be at 11:11am Jamaica time today.
