Jamaican Junior karters Thomas (Tommi) Gore, Ryan Chisholm and Zander Williams are presently in Barbados for the first rounds of the inaugural Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy.

Held at the Bushy Park circuit, the Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy will feature karters from host nation Barbados as well as Guyana and Jamaica racing over six rounds contested by racers aged from 11 to 15 at three double-headers on January 12/13, February 2/3 and March 2/3.

In addition to the racing on the weekend, all karters in the CJKAT series will benefit from a team of FIA-accredited Regional Training Providers (RTP) who will conduct a two-day programme of training at Bushy Park Barbados on Thursday and Friday, January 10/11, ahead of the opening round of the Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy (CJKAT). Three experienced motor sport professionals, led by Dubai Grand Prix Clerk of the Course Ronan Morgan, Morgan’s Deputy Clerk Gordon Mellis, a kart racing expert, and former F1 driver Tommy Byrne complete, who will work with the karters registered for the new series, along with a number of the island’s volunteer officials and marshals.
