Jamaican Alex Powell has won the third round of the WSK Super Master Series at the La Conca International Circuit in Muro Leccese, Italy on March 10, 2019.

Powell, factory driver for Energy Course Racing, started from 8th place in the Final and won by the slimiest of margins, finishing just 0.058-seconds ahead of the Baby Race Driver Academy duo of Ean Eycanans 2nd and Coskun Irfan 3rd.

The #JamaicanSensation topped off his weekend of good results; after qualifying 8th quickest overall he finished 4th, 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 1st in his five Heats before posting 4th in Pre-Final A, setting himself up for an epic seven position come from behind win in the Final.

“The other two drivers who finished on the podium have driven this track at least twice each; this was Alex’s first time on this track. We were told that this track, La Conca, is the hardest track in Italy. So it’s a huge accomplishment to be able to finish on the podium; to win in La Conca is a whole other level” said John Powell.

Alex’s next race is Round 4 of the WSK Super Master Series on March 24th to conclude the championship.

JMMC congratulates Alex Powell for his victory.
