Putting a first lap Q1 incident which resulted in a 5th place finish behind him, Jamaican Fraser McConnell showed his speed and classic driving style while winning his Q2 heat at the 2019 RX2 International Series in Barcelona, Spain today.
“McConnell is spectacular with great car control” noted the RX2 commentators, “He’s putting out fantastic performances”. In his post-race interview Fraser said “We’re going for it all… we’re going to fight, looking forward, tomorrow should be good.”
In a special messages to his Jamaican fans, Fraser said “We could have started off better. We’ve already dusted that off because we know the pace is there once I get into my rhythm, and I’m feeling pretty close to 100% confidence again.”
Fraser will start 5th in the fastest Q3 group on Sunday.
