When Jamaican Alex Powell began the first round of the Italian Championship at the 7 Lakes International Circuit in Castelletto, Italy by posting the third quickest time in his official practice, expectations were high for a similar qualifying result.
Unfortunately, qualifying didn’t go well. “On his fast lap he caught a slower kid who started to block Alex rather than let him pass” explained John Powell. As a result, Alex will start each of his three heats from the seventh row. “In in this series there is no Pre-Final, so depending on how you finish in the heats is how you start the final”
