Jamaican Fraser McConnell reeled off a series of top-three finishes in the Qualifying and Semi-Final rounds of the RX2 International Series before bad luck struck in the Final.
Fraser began Sunday May 12th in Belgium by winning his Q3 heat, then 3rd in his Q4 heat before finishing 2nd in his Semi-Final. All indications were that a podium finish was possible at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
“Got a little unlucky and held up in traffic which cost us some positions. We had the pace to be on the podium, but we will learn from this and come back stronger” said Fraser.
Despite his 5th place in the Final, Fraser is 3rd Overall in the RX2 International Series Championship. The next event on the schedule is May 25/26 at Silverstone, Great Britain.
JMMC congratulate Fraser for his result.
