Jamaican Alex Powell finished sixth in both rain affected Finals at Round 4 of the Italian ACI Karting Championship held at Adria Karting Raceway on July 26th to 28th.
Powell started the weekend on a good note, qualifying 12th Overall in dry conditions, starting 6th for each heat then finishing 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd in his four Heats on Saturday July 26th.
Sunday’s weather took a turn for the worse, and with rainfall throughout the day Powell did well to secure 6th place finishes in both Finals, keeping himself in championship contention.
Despite his 6th place finishes Alex is third overall in the 2019 Italian Karting Championship. His next event in the championship is at the Val Vibrata Kartodromo on August 30 to September 1st.
