Jamaican Fraser McConnell returned to Rally Cross competition at the Bretagne World RX of France’s sixth round of the RX2 International Series on August 31 & September 1, narrowly missing a podium finish.

Fraser had to overcome a DNF caused by broken suspension in his Q2 heat, but battled back with a trio of top five performances to secure fifth entering the Semi-Finals, then third in his Semi to book his place in the Final.

In what has been described as the “best race in RX2 history”, Fraser made a breathtaking pass for two positions, moving from 6th to 4th on the third lap. He then hunt down the leading trio, closing dramatically on third place but his final overtaking maneuver was thwarted when his was almost forced completely off of the track at the apex of the final corner before the finish line.

Fraser is 4th Overall in the RX2 championship, with one round left in South Africa on November 9th

JMMC congratulate him for his result.
