Jamaican Alex Powell finished 2nd Overall at the Trofeo D’Autunno Finale, narrowly missing his second win of the two-event series held at the South Garda Karting facility in Lonato, Italy.

After claiming the 60 Mini win at Round 1 of the Trofeo D’Autunno last weekend, Alex entered the Mini ROX class in preparation for the ROK Cup Superfinal next weekend. Qualifying 33rd out of 99 entrants, Alex started his first Heat in the 6th row from 11th position. A storming run through the Mini ROK field on the first lap brought him to 5th. On the final lap, a brilliant outside sweep around the final corner secured 2nd position. Traffic encountered in Heat 2 resulted in a 6th place finish, relegating him to a 10th place starting position in the Final. Driving through the Final field, Alex narrowly missed winning the final in a bold last corner move, finishing 2nd by less than 2/10ths of a second.

Alex’s next event is the ROK Cup Superfinal at the International South Garda Circuit of Lonato. The most awaited event of the worldwide ROK series of events is set on the Italian track in the week from 9th-12th October.

JMMC congratulate him for his result.
