Jamaican Fraser McConnell quick and determined pace belied the fact that he was racing for the first time at the Killarney International Raceway in Cape Town, South Africa on November 9th. At the end of the first day he was tied for second in qualifying points, solidifying his form the following day earning a start on the second row in the Final.
In the Final, a well timed and very quick Joker lap put Fraser back in contention after being crowded at the Start. He quickly reeled in the cars in front, picking them off as they took their Joker laps to finish a fine 2nd place at the checked flag.
Topping off his remarkable Rally Cross season in which he competed in two separate series on both sides of the Atlantic, Fraser won the RX2’s Fan’s Favourite Award.
