Jamaican William Myers has topped the standings of the 2019 Radical SR3 Caribbean Cup, claiming the first International Championship of his racing career. In his first season driving the Radical SR3, Myers bested seasoned Radical SR3 racing brothers Stuart Maloney (2018 champion), Mark Maloney and Sean Maloney from Barbados as well as Kristian Boodoosingh from Trinidad and Guyanese driver Kristian Jeffrey in a season marked by multiple podium finishes.
Driving steadily during a rainy weekend at the South Dakota circuit in Guyana, Myers claimed two 3rd place podium finishes and a 4th place to secure the championship.
Fellow Jamaican Horatio Brown finished his debut racing season and revealed that he has been driving a lower specification SR3 because of his rookie status. “Good news, I get the same spec engine as everyone else next year. This year, my first year racing cars, was a familiarization exercise, I will be changing cars next year for sure” stated Brown.
JMMC congratulates William for his championship win and Horatio for completing his debut racing season.
