Jamaican Williams Myers announced today that he will race the 2020 Formula 4 United States Championship with the Group-A Racing team.
Myers, fresh off his debut season Radical SR3 Caribbean Cup champion win in 2019, is a two-time Jamaica Race Drivers Club class champion, having won championships in 2016 and 2018 while racing at Dover Raceway and Jamwest Speedway.
The move to the six-event Formula 4 United States Championship sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, the professional racing division of the SCCA, in conjunction with ACCUS, the United States representative to the FIA represents a significant step for Myers, paving the way for progression through the FIA’s Formula cars system.
“I am extremely happy to join the F4 U.S. Championship with Group-A Racing” stated Myers. “With limited seat time before the beginning of season as well as it being my first time racing at any of these tracks means I will have a lot of learning to do this year. I have no doubt the Group-A team and I will work together to be great competitors this coming season. I’m looking forward to a lot of learning, racing and fun!”
JMMC wish him good luck for a safe and successful season.
