Subject: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) event postponements
Like you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the world. We have been and are continuing to closely monitor developments surrounding the spread of the virus; our priority remains the safety of our motor sport community and the nation.
The JMMC hereby places a moratorium on all motor sport events listed on its National Motor Sport Calendar until May 31, 2020. Effective today, March 12th the calendar is vacated to May 31st; no events will be sanctioned by the JMMC and all affected events are therefore postponed.
This moratorium is subject to further guidance from the Ministry of Health and all other related Government agencies and may be adjusted accordingly.
A revised provisional motor sport calendar will be published following consultations with the affected motor sport entities namely, the Drivers Rallysport Club (DRC), Jamaica Karting Association (JKA), Jamaica Race Drivers Club (JRDC) and KenT Racing.
