Jamaican Fraser McConnell overcame a broken driveshaft on Saturday to secure his first podium finish on Sunday, claiming 2nd Overall in the 2020 RallyX Nordic Supercar Championship.

McConnell had previously committed to the RX2 class for 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic halted racing worldwide. When presented with the opportunity to fulfill a desire to drive a Supercar in Sweden at the resumption of racing, he took the chance, emerging from the Swedish events in 4th place.

Those 4th place points prompted McConnell to compete in the full season, against 25 other drivers in all. He capped his season with his first podium finish, 2nd place at “The Final Showdown” in Denmark and 2nd place in the 2020 Supercar Championship.

JMMC congratulates Fraser for his result.
