The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club congratulates Sara Misir for being nominated for Female Motor Sport Athlete of the Year in the 2021 RJR/Gleaner Sports Foundation Awards, and for her historic achievement of making it to the Final of the 2021 Formula Woman international competition.
After several rounds of assessment and evaluation, Misir was announced as one of the fifty women who made it to the Formula Woman final round, from a total of ten thousand aspirants.
Formula Woman is a successful motor racing competition started in 2004, where thousands of women of all ages and from different walks of life enter to see if they have what it takes to become a racing driver. The final of the competition will be held on March 2nd and 3rd in the United Kingdom.
McLaren Customer Racing have agreed to support Formula Woman and the winners of this competition will be awarded their prize drive in McLaren GT4 race cars in the 2022 GT Cup championship. The winners will undergo full training and coaching during the months of March and April prior to taking to the grid in the 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 race car.
