The JMMC extends condolences to the family and friends of Barbadian rally driver Paul Bourne who passed away yesterday.
Bourne was a fan favourite who raced for more than two decades across the Caribbean, including Jamaica where he was renowned for his spectacular driving in a Subaru Impreza WRC. In addition to motor sport, Bourne was an avid participant in surfing, the sport from which he earned his nickname ‘The Surfer’.
Bourne was twice winner of Rally Barbados, and is remembered for his contributions to motor sport and the sports community in Barbados. May he Rest In Peace.
