Continuing its commitment to the development and safety of motor racing, the JMMC will test a new driver information system at the JRDC Carnival of Speed event at Dover Raceway on April 1st.
Developed by Spectra Technology, E-Flag Racer is an app-based digital flagging, marshaling, and safety system for circuit racing that allows organizers to monitor and communicate live with competitors during events through their mobile phones.
Race Control software allows organizers to track the location and status of competitors in real-time and send (sectorized) FIA-code flags and personalized or general messages according to race situations. For competitors, the app allows them to send emergency messages (SOS) in case immediate assistance is needed during the competition, as well as to receive flags and messages sent by Race Control.
JMMC plans a “soft launch” limited to selected racers at the Carnival of Speed event to test functionality before full implementation at the remaining JRDC events in 2024.
