The Jamaican duo of Thomas ‘Tommi’ Gore and Senna Summerbell recorded their best finish of the 2024 ADAC GT4 Championship when they finished 5th on Sunday, September 29th, at the famous Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Driving their Porsche Cayman GT4 Club Sport for the second time since switching to the Avia W&S Motorsports team, the duo once again qualified in the Top 10, with Summerbell qualifying 9th for Saturday’s race and Gore qualifying 4th for Sunday’s. In a penalty-affected race started by Summerbell on Saturday, the team dropped to 19th before the mandatory driver switch, with Gore putting on a storming drive to overcome three 5-second penalties and finish 14th overall.
Gore started Sunday’s race from 4th on the grid, quickly moving up to 3rd before handing the car to Summerbell at the mid-race driver switch. Summerbell held off faster cars behind him as long as he could, eventually crossing the line in 5th, securing the pairing’s top finish of the championship.
