The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) is proud to announce that two of Jamaica’s finest racers, Senna Summerbell and Chris Issa, will represent the island nation in the prestigious 2025 TCR European Endurance Championship. The duo will compete for the renowned Austrian team, Wimmer Werk Motorsport, in a fully Jamaican-branded Cupra Leon TCR.
This marks an exciting milestone for Jamaican motorsport, as Summerbell and Issa bring their blend of youth, experience, and national pride to one of Europe’s premier endurance racing series.
A Dynamic Duo: Youth Meets Experience
At just 23 years old, Senna Summerbell has already made a name for himself on the international racing scene. After dominating the local motorsport circuit, he transitioned to European competition in 2024, making his mark in GT4 racing with an overall podium finish in his debut season. Prior to his European debut, Summerbell showcased his immense talent by winning the championship and setting a new track record at Dover Raceway in his first year racing in the Jamaica Race Driver’s Club Thundersport class. Now, he steps into the highly competitive world of TCR endurance racing as the pro driver, eager to showcase his skill on some of Europe’s most challenging circuits.
Joining him is Chris Issa, a seasoned motorsport veteran. Issa, a former Esso International Stages Rally Champion, made a name for himself in rally racing before retiring in 1993. However, he has remained deeply involved in the sport, mentoring and supporting top Jamaican drivers, including David Summerbell and Doug Gore. Recently, he has played a pivotal role in developing the next generation of racers, including Summerbell and Tommi Gore in GT4 Germany. Now, he makes his long-awaited return behind the wheel, partnering with Summerbell as they set their sights on the Pro-Am title.
