FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) proudly congratulates Kyle Gregg on a monumental achievement in Caribbean motorsport, as he drove to victory at Rally Barbados 2025, securing a landmark seventh overall win for Jamaica at the prestigious event.
Driving with skill and precision over the three-day tarmac rally, Gregg — partnered by Barbadian co-driver Kreigg Yearwood — outpaced a fiercely competitive field of 121 entrants to claim the top step of the podium. Their performance capped a dominant showing for Jamaican drivers, with compatriots Jeffrey Panton and Mike Fennell Jr. finishing close behind in second, delivering a one-two Jamaican finish at the Vaucluse Raceway.
This year’s edition of Rally Barbados, the 35th staging of the event organized by the Barbados Rally Club, featured 19 special stages spread across the island’s winding road network. Despite the intensity of the competition and the pressure of high expectations, Gregg maintained consistent pace and flawless execution, clinching victory by a margin of 12.16 seconds after the final stage.
Reflecting on the win, Gregg shared, “There’s so much emotion right now. I’m incredibly proud of the effort from the whole team. I didn’t make a single mistake all weekend — it’s the best I’ve ever driven.” He continued, “After coming so close at the shakedown, I knew I had to stay focused and time my push perfectly. The car upgrades paid off, and everything clicked when it mattered most.”
The win is particularly significant for Gregg, as it echoes a family legacy — his father, Gary Gregg, won the same event 19 years ago. With this triumph, Kyle also completes the ‘Caribbean Rally Trifecta’, having previously secured victories at both Rally Jamaica and Rally Trinidad.
JMMC President Stephen Gunter praised the accomplishment: “Kyle’s victory represents the excellence and tenacity of Jamaican motorsport. We celebrate not just his skill behind the wheel, but also the teamwork, discipline, and strategic execution that brought this win home. It is a proud moment for all of us in Jamaican motorsport.”
The JMMC extends its congratulations to all Jamaican competitors who represented the island with distinction at Rally Barbados 2025, and applauds the Barbados Rally Club for hosting another world-class motorsport showcase.
