The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) is proud to announce that Dylan Smith and Kyle Mais have been selected as Jamaica’s recipients of the 2025 FIA Americas Awards, in the Junior and Senior driver categories respectively.
The FIA Americas Awards celebrate excellence in motorsport across the region, recognising champion drivers from FIA member clubs throughout the Americas. Each country may nominate up to two champion drivers, one junior and one senior, who have been crowned within their respective championships.
At just 10 years old, Dylan Smith, the 2025 Overall Champion of the Jamaica Karting Association (JAKA), earns the Junior Award following a standout season that showcased racecraft, consistency, and composure well beyond his years. His achievement highlights both his individual talent and the strength of Jamaica’s karting development pathway.
Kyle Mais, the 2025 Overall Champion of the Jamaica Race Drivers Club (JRDC), receives the Senior Award after a dominant and highly competitive circuit racing campaign. Mais’ success underscores the depth of talent within Jamaica’s senior circuit racing ranks.
Both awards will be formally presented at the FIA Americas Awards 2026 Ceremony, scheduled for January 31, 2026, at the Hotel Riu Plaza, Panama City, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The black-tie event brings together leading drivers, clubs, and officials from across the Americas. In keeping with FIA protocol, award recipients must be present at the ceremony to receive their trophies.
The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club congratulates Dylan Smith, Kyle Mais, the Jamaica Karting Association, and the Jamaica Race Drivers Club on this prestigious regional recognition, which represents a proud moment for Jamaican motorsport on the FIA Americas stage.
