The Montego Bay Motoring Club in association with the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club presents the 2007 renewal of the Digicel Raynor King Memorial Stages Rally on Sunday, August 19 starting at 10 am at Frome factory yard, Frome, Westmoreland.
This year’s event is title sponsored by Digicel, who tell you to expect more, get more, with associate sponsorship by Gray’s Pepper Products, Easi Spice, Rory’s Texaco, KFC, Lloyd’s of Montego Bay, Pepsico, Tropical Battery, Young’s Service Centre, Savanna-la-mar Auto Supplies and Linkz96FM.
The event has been a favorite of drivers over the years mainly due to the fast and flowing stages, the level of preparation of the racing surface, the proximity of the service park to the two stage locations and the forgiving nature of the canefields, as if a driver were to become overexuberant and run off, minimal damage is usually sustained on an errant trek through the cane rows.
The event proper starts at 10am from the Frome factory yard but registartion and inspection starts at 8 am. Ten stages are to be run during the day with six before lunch and 4 after lunch.
The Jamaica Marshalling Club, JAGDYB Friendship Racing, The Jamaica Red Cross, Gentle Care Ambulance Service, Youngs Service Centre, Sam Bull Wrecking Service and Pepsico are service providers for this years event.
