In the end it came down to the narrowest of margins; just 0.048-seconds separated Alex Powell from his Energy Corse SRL teammate Kimi Antonelli. Alex’s bid for the ROK Mini International title came up just a bit short but he stood tall in the esteem of everyone gathered at the South Garda Karting circuit in Italy as those watching the race live worldwide. The “Jamaican sensation” had earned the heartfelt support of everyone present.
“We are all extremely proud of him. To come here from half way around the world and be so competitive. For me that’s a win.” John Powell said while reflecting on the race,
He continued: “The dust hasn’t settled since finishing the ROK International Finals and the list is already out for the WSK Final Cup to be held this weekend, with 90 Mini drivers entered so far.”
