Jamaican William Myers showed impressive speed as he finished 2nd Overall in Round 1 of the SR3 Caribbean Cup at Bushy Park, Barbados on Monday, April 29. Despite it being his first time racing at Bushy Park and in a “rental” Radical SR3, the 21-year-old Myers posted the fastest time in the first official practice session, as well as the fastest overall lap time for the day under racing conditions. Myers recorded finishes of 3rd, 3rd and a sensational last lap pass for 2nd in individual races on his way to claiming the 2nd spot on the overall podium and 2nd in the 2019 Championship standings.
Fellow Jamaican Horatio Brown who was racing cars for the first time, progressively gained speed in his SR3, improving his times with each session on the track. In his three races he finished 6th, 5th and 6th, accumulating enough points for 6th in the 2019 Championship standings.
JMMC congratulate them both for their performances.
