The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) was proudly represented at the 2026 FIA Conference in Macau, China, by President Jeffrey Panton, who attended on behalf of Jamaica.
The FIA Conference is one of the Federation’s premier annual gatherings, bringing together Presidents and senior representatives of FIA Member Clubs (ASNs) from around the world to discuss the future direction of motorsport and mobility. The conference provided an invaluable opportunity for knowledge sharing, strategic planning and collaboration between the FIA and its national sporting authorities.
Over the course of the conference, delegates participated in discussions and presentations covering a broad range of important topics, including:
- The future of international motorsport governance.
- Advances in safety and sporting regulations.
- Grassroots motorsport development.
- Sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Digital innovation and emerging technologies.
- Mobility and road safety programmes.
- Best practices in club administration and governance.
- Regional and international collaboration between FIA Member Clubs.
President Panton also met with FIA leadership, fellow ASN Presidents and representatives from around the world, strengthening Jamaica’s relationships within the international motorsport community while exploring opportunities and programmes that can further benefit motorsport development locally.
Participation in the conference ensured that the JMMC remained actively engaged with the latest FIA initiatives, policies and strategic direction. The knowledge and experience gained will assist the Club as it continues to modernise its governance, expand participation, enhance official development and identify new opportunities for competitors, officials, volunteers and member clubs across Jamaica.
The JMMC remains committed to maintaining a strong and respected presence within the FIA family and to ensuring that Jamaica continues to benefit from international collaboration, innovation and the exchange of best practices.
As the Club continues its programme of reform and development, the insights gained from the FIA Conference will play an important role in shaping future initiatives and strengthening motorsport in Jamaica for the benefit of the entire membership.
