Alex delivered on his debut weekend representing Jamaica by finishing on the podium, 3rd Overall in the Mini class Final for 60cc karts at the WSK Open Cup held at Circuito South Garda Karting in Lonato Dek Garda, Brescia, Italy. An added bonus of a new Event Record topped off a wonderful weekend.
“The Jamaican flag on the podium… the boy from the Caribbean has driven superbly, a brilliant race, he finishes in position #3… from Jamaica, 3rd place, Alex Powell!” announced Ian Salvestrin during the podium Ceremony.
After the Final an emotional John Powell, Alex’s father, says he was “Extremely proud” and thanked the JMMC for its support.
