“A mindset to win” perfectly sums up the brilliant Rallycross debut of Jamaica’s Fraser McConnell. McConnell, the 2017 DRC Rally Champion Driver made his Rallycross debut in fine style, winning two of his four Qualifying heats to emerge with the points lead going into the Semi-Finals. Fraser again showed his class, winning his Semi-Final and claiming pole position and high hopes for the Final at the new COTA Rallycross circuit.

The fairy-tale ending wasn’t to be; an unfortunate incident of contact from another competitor while in second place during the Final resulted in McConnell eventually finishing fourth but there is no doubt that he has gotten the attention of everyone in the Americas Rallycross series.

The JMMC and Jamaican racing fraternity are very proud of Fraser’s outstanding display of driving skill and cool level headed sportsmanship. We wish him continued success for his next appearance in the series.
