Any hopes of repeating his 2017 podium finish at last weekend’s Superkarts! USA SuperNationals were dashed when Jamaican Collin Daley Jnr was hit multiple times during the first lap of the Pro Shifter class final.

The resulting damage to his kart dropped Collin from 8th to 12th before the end of the first lap. A determined drive resulted in firmly regaining two positions by lap 14, however not just physically damaged from the contact the kart also suffered gear shifting problems during the race. Avoiding further contact which saw nineteen other racers retiring, and despite being unable to match lap times with those ahead Collin persevered and finished 10th overall out of 50 original starters.

Collin has returned to Jamaica and next races overseas in a Winter Tour series.
