The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) is proud to announce that Brandon Shor and Justin Donaldson have been officially selected to represent Jamaica at the inaugural FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup, scheduled for November 14–16, 2025, at the LYL International Circuit in Malaysia.
This groundbreaking event, staged under the FIA’s Global Karting Plan, aims to provide equal opportunities for emerging karting talent worldwide. With costs controlled and equipment standardized, the competition creates a level playing field for drivers from all backgrounds to showcase their skills on an international stage.
Jamaica’s representatives will compete across both categories of the World Cup:
Brandon Shor – Junior category
Justin Donaldson – Senior category
Each category is limited to only 54 drivers worldwide, underscoring the significance of Shor and Donaldson’s selection as part of this elite group.
The competition format will span three days, beginning with free practice sessions and followed by qualifying practice and three qualifying heats per driver. The final phase will see the top 28 drivers in each category advancing to the main Final, while the remaining competitors will contest a B-Final.
The stakes are high, as the top three drivers in each category will not only earn an invitation to the prestigious FIA Karting Awards Ceremony, but will also be selected for the Karting Excellence Centre shootout among FIA Karting champions. The Senior shootout winner will receive a scholarship to support their progression into FIA Formula 4, while the Junior winner will earn a budget contribution toward their next FIA Karting Championship season.
Stephen Gunter, Chairman of the JMMC, commented: “This is a truly historic moment for Jamaican karting. Brandon and Justin’s selection reflects both their dedication and the talent that continues to grow within our motorsport community. The FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup represents a new era of accessibility and opportunity, and we are immensely proud to see Jamaica represented on this global stage.”
The JMMC extends its full support to Shor and Donaldson as they prepare to fly the Jamaican flag in Malaysia this November, competing against the best young karters in the world.
