Jamaican representative Alex Powell was a perfect 4-for-4 on today’s second day of competition at the WSK Final Cup at the South Garda Karting circuit in Italy.
For a few laps in Heat 3 it seemed that Alex’s quest for a perfect day was in jeopardy, as he fell to 7th place after 1 lap. Alex carved his way through the pack and passed for the lead on the last lap. Heat 4 was a flag-to-flag victory, while Heat 5 saw him fall to 3rd after the start before securing 1st position on lap 5 of the 9 lap race. Overall, Alex is 5-for-5 for all of his heats.
“Clean sweep of all the heats today, now on to the PreFinal and Final tomorrow” noted John Powell.
